Ingrid’s work is mostly inspired by storytelling, her work also combines the magical scenery and ever-changing seasonal colours in the beautiful Peak District in which she lives and works. 

Some of her favoured techniques include collage, mono-printing and crystalline watercolour, enhancing the work with a luminous quality. Ingrid tends to machine stitch into the work for mark making and creating texture, with the aid of her faithful 60-year-old Swedish Husqvarna. The result is a three-dimensional, visual representation attempting to evoke thought.
