Katie Edwards is a self-taught fibre artist who creates magical treescapes within hoops. Using a mix of weaving and soft sculpture techniques, she creates beautifully textured pieces that are both nostalgic and relaxing.

Initially inspired by her Grandfather’s tapestry work, she began to experiment and create her unique pieces following a mental health breakdown. Focussing her mind and hands to create calming scenes helped her in her recovery, and her style has evolved since then. Katie has always been inspired by the natural world and the memories and feelings that being in nature can provoke. It is these elements of her experiences that she translates, using a range of fibres to depict the beautiful English woodlands and trees.
