Jan is a passionate ‘maker’ living in the Peak District and has been drawn to using textiles as an art form since she left school. 

She uses the traditional method of wet felting as her preferred medium.  Using merino wool, fibres, fabric and stitch, she has replaced the brush to create vibrant felted paintings where her love of colour shines through in abundance.

The inspiration for her work is derived from the rural landscape and her connection to it. Her felt landscapes convey the joy she feels when she is outside, and she uses rich colours and texture to express this.
