Cyanotype Wildflower Print (grey frame)

Cathey Yardley Design – Unique cyanotype print, with a double mount, set in a square grey frame. Each print is created by arranging carefully selected fresh plants onto a photosensitive background which is then exposed to intense sunlight. After exposure, plant materials are removed leaving their imprint. This wildflower was selected from a Staffordshire Moorlands field and the print was created on a hot August day. It was then stitched using fine gold metallic thread to create subtle highlights. The image is permanent but can be refreshed in bright sunlight.
